Welcome to the shop.

Legacy Taxidermy is located in Idaho, in the Idaho Falls area just below where the Snake Rivers Henrys’ Fork and the South Fork comes together. There is abundant hunting all around for Elk, Mule deer, Whitetail deer, Antelope, Black bear, as well as small game , waterfowl and upland birds. We are also know for our premier fishing waters ; The South Fork and Henry’s of the Snake , the Teton River , and Henry’s Lake.

With a little luck I am permanently moving to Rigby by Sept. 1

 

A little about me.

       Living here in Idaho I have spent my time hunting, fishing and trapping all my life, sometimes to the extent that I forgot everything else.  I  still get my share of fishing ever chance I get and my kids still share some hunting time with me. Around 12 years ago I found out I had Macular Degeneration. Sure turned my life around when I thought I was going to loose my vision. My 25 year career as a carpenter went down the toilet when the nail heads started disappearing. My vision has some distortion and a few dead spots, but with the aid of great lighting and magnification, taxidermy helps me continue enjoying the outdoors and has become a great hobby.  I enjoy being in my shop and I hope my mounts are starting to look like the real thing. You never quit learning and I am always eager to pick up any new ideas or methods. Thanks for looking , Jay
